Display modes

Hardware / realistic is the default front-panel view. Front panel is the debug-friendly direct readout. ROM-strobed mirror follows monitor-driven display activity.

Panels

Terminal shows the browser TTY stub for serial experiments. The main loaders stay on the full view only, while universal mode stays focused on the front panel.

Keyboard shortcuts

0-9 / A-F press hex keys, + sends plus, G GO, R RS, S ST, T toggles terminal, U toggles universal view.

Adjust these here without adding clutter to the main panel.

Run budget per animation frame

Enable KIM monitor assist hooks
Keeps the browser-side monitor assists active for keypad and display ROM entry points. Leave this on for normal use; turn it off only when you want fewer conveniences and more raw behavior. Use expanded RAM outside ROM/I/O holes
Makes most open address space writable RAM instead of empty holes. This is convenient for experiments, but disabling it keeps the machine map closer to a stock KIM-style layout. SST mode (GO runs one instruction)
Changes the front-panel GO key into a single-step trigger. Useful when you want KIM-UNO-style step behavior while staying on the keypad.

Terminal and tape notes

The serial stub supports monitor hooks and the KIM Uno style CFF1/CFF5 path used by experiments such as VTL-02. Paper tape import/export uses classic KIM text records, so text files can be loaded or saved directly from the browser.
